Rough Cut: Alex Phillips
We recently had the chance to interview Alex Phillips, the Bicycle Recreation Coordinator for Oregon Parks and Recreation. Her job is unique and she has no counterparts anywhere else in the country. Her job is to develop and promote bicycle recreation throughout the state. One of her projects are working with proponents in small towns to develop “scenic bikeways”, which are road rides that are meant to showcase the best cycling in the state. In the interview, she talks about the bikeway program, how touring cyclists affect rural economies and hiker/biker sites in Oregon.

Dear Pathless
I do a bit of basic video production and am impressed by the practicality of your rough cut productions. They provide a valuable resource without the post production editing complications that videographers sometimes think that they need to do. I am going to adopt the technique in some future projects.
As a cyclist I appreciate the narrative content around the topic of creating rural bicycle infrastructure.
Thanks for the inspiration.
Ken
