Video: Preparing the Brompton for the Train
A quick (and we do mean quick!) video of how we prepare our Bromptons for boarding Amtrak trains and buses. We’ve dialed in our packing relatively well and unpacking the bikes only takes about 2 minutes in real time. We’re experimenting, however, with using a backpacker’s backpack on the rear rack to further consolidate our gear. Stay tuned for that change, we’ll be testing it in the next few days. For now, enjoy!

Ha! I love it.
Wow! I’ve been browsing through your blog and I’ve been very inspired by your own touring experience. I’m planning to buy a foldie very soon and I’d want to use it to go on tour here in the Philippines. I can’t afford a Brompton (and there’s no distributor here) so I’m opting for a Flamingo, a Brompton clone.
More power to you guys!
The Benny Hill music perfect! You guys make it look so easy and fun.
That’s funny, hearing Yakety Sax on your video. Years ago when I played in rock bands the public always asked me to play Yakety Sax and I didn’t know it so, I learned it by ear and had to practice it for a year before I could perform it. When I finally did start playing it the audience never recognized it as Yakety Sax, they always said, “Oh that’s the theme song to Bennie Hill.” Go figure.
Can’t wait to see the backpack set up! I’ve seen one pick but if it works out after you test it i’m gonna have to try it myself. That would be great to ride out to the gorge and take off into the woods!
