700c to 650b Conversion Project
In these two videos, I do a conversion project I’ve been wanting to do for a while – turning my 700c Vaya into 650b. Learn about the advantages and disadvantages of doing this conversion as well as going with me on the first ride with the converted bike.

This intrigued me greatly. So much so that I scoured EBay looking for rims and hubs to build a set of 650b wheels for my Spot Champa (my first that aren’t radial) Along the way I have also gone tubeless (with WTB ByWay tires I kinda wanted a bit of knobby as my commute crosses a nursery to avoid a dangerous piece of road) which when combined with the wheels took a pound and a half off my bike….which will certainly be a welcome change for commuting. BTW you should really review a bike with an internal geared hub, Spot and Breezer make them I’m sure others do.
Thoughts long-term? I’m thinking about converting my vaya.
Works fine.
