I have used these pedals for two years on my Rans Stratus XP long wheel base recumbent. I had a problem with my feet going numb prior to these pedals. Now, that problem has been virtually eliminated by using these pedals. Also, I can definitely say you can exert more power pushing on this pedal than a standard pedal. Finally, on my recumbent, I have two riding positions with these pedals….one using the ball of my foot and one using the middle portion of my foot. All I have to do is scoot a little forward on the seat to use the middle portion of my foot on the pedal. When riding 50-80 a day it is advantageous to have different riding positions, even on a recumbent. Oh, and one last thing, no problem with wheel interference on my “large” size recumbent.
