Review: VAAST A1 Magnesium All Road Bike
While magnesium has been used in bike building in the past it has fallen out of fashion. VAAST hopes to change that with a new formulation of magnesium that is more corrosion resistant and offers excellent strength to weight ratio. But how does it ride compared to supple steel bikes? Find out in this vid review!

wow , really enjoyed it .
Very curious about long term with magnesium. Magnesium is lower density than aluminum, but also not quite as stiff and lower strength. But I have no idea of the fatigue properties. I would guess they’re better than aluminum or we’d see much larger tubes. So to achieve similar strength and stiffness, I’m guessing the wall thickness is thicker than a typical aluminum bike? (all conjecture). Because I would otherwise be worry that it’s very prone to dents, being lower strength than aluminum (which is generally thin wall and low yield strength compared to steel, carbon).
