How to fix the GoPro Hero5 Audio

The GoPro Hero5 is an enigma of a camera. Never has a camera been so simultaneously awesome and terrible at the same time. I love its form factor, image quality and flexibility in frame rates, BUT it literally has the worse audio I've ever heard in an action camera. So bad in fact, that I think the audio from the Hero 3 is exponentially better.
