Murphy’s Law of Bike Touring #2
Another immutable law of bike touring that we’ve learned over the years. Seems to be especially true in Montana.

Russ,
Marketing idea on upcoming Brompton Book:
Take a photo of the cover and post it on Brompton flicker group. Might help spread the word.
Good luck, and sign me up for a copy!
great idea Steve!
The 3rd murphy’s law of bike touring could be – A puncture will 9 times out of 10 be on the rear tyre, or is that just my luck? lol.
The 4th rule could be, a back wheel folded and parked brompton is no match for a strong wind,Or unlevel floor. CRASH !
I’d say that what I’ve also noticed is that people will invariably stop to see if you’re OK only when you are obviously resting or eating on the side if the road, never when you are covered in sweat while walking you bike up a mountain while limping. 😉
On any minimally traveled road, if two large vehicles pass going opposite directions, the point they pass will coincide exactly with your current location.
Ever notice how roadkill is always on the UPHILL side…..?
Hello everybody! And here’s another law if you stop under a mountain to help an unconscious person and he turns out to be killed by a well-known person, but you will still be the first under suspicion, then you will have a good lawyer and Paul Mankin will help you here!!! https://www.paulmankin.com/
