Old Ridge Route
In this episode of Points of Interest, we explore the historic Old Ridge Route in California. It is arguably one of the most important roads in the entire state and allowed commerce and travel between the northern and southern part of the state. Now it has been replaced by a freeway, but in this video we explore the original road which is closed to cars!

Love the Points of Interest format. I look forward to future posts in this theme. Nice balance of both historic and bike details. ?
Ya! same. Great theme!
I feel that the choice of bike is individual. A fixed gear track bike with 25mm tires could have made the ride. Under biked that would be! You might have to switch to bipedal drive occasionally! A top range mountain bike may weigh less than a steel gravel bike. You ride what you bring and no bike will ever fit every situation.
