Video: A Tillamook Excursion
Even though Laura’s ankle is still healing, we’re not letting it stop us from having some bike adventures. Like Amtrak, regional bus systems can be a great way to augment bicycle travel. In this video, we take the very bicycle friendly The Wave bus out of downtown Portland to Tillamook. From there we stay at a bicycle friendly hostel in Rockaway Beach. Along the way, we eat beef jerky, bubblegum ice cream, feed fish and camp at the amazing Cape Lookout hiker/bike site.

So glad you’re feeling better and you guys are on the bikes again.

Excellent video. Even more excited for the arrival of my Brompton (ordered with great regard to your specs) and eager to hear more about the rear backpack hack.

Wow! Inspiring video. Terrific visuals and very informative (the section on the motel was great). As usual, the video makes me want to hop on my bike and ride (and, also as usual, it makes me kinda hungry).

Glad you’re ankle is so much better. I’m also interested in your change of luggage. Why the decision? How are you attaching the rucksack? Looking forward to hearing about it. Happy travels.

Great video, I like the backpack idea!
This solution seem to be more “multi modal friendly”.
