The RD-4700-GS is rated to 34T, runs a 36T with no issue and, when combined with a Wolf Tooth RoadLink, will even take an 11-40 cassette. I am running it that way in 1X on my bike.
Hi Ed,
thanks for your video.
Do you think the RD-4700-GS with RoadLink will work with 11-40 cassette and compact double up front?
I’m looking to convert all 4700 to loaded touring gearing.
Does anyone know if you could stretch to a 11-42 cassette with a roadlink and 4700 derailleur?
I’m looking to convert to 1X, I have a 42T NW chainring and a 11-42 deore cassette ready to out on just working out the derailleur situation now!
